Professor Cho Yoon-sung of Chosun University is an artist who uses painting, digital printing, three-dimensional work, and sculpture to transmit meaning that can be found life by symbolizing the left-right symmetrical structures of natural objects and interpretations of non-figurative space. The objects portrayed in the artist's paintings float on a of the objects and portals through which the objects are formed. Through the colorful flight peaceful lake, creating afterimages on the water's surface, while mirrors erected in the lake function as both reflections of life symbols that repeat the cycle of creation and destruction, the artist wishes to provide a moment of peaceful meditation in the middle of our hectic lives.
'조선대학교 조윤성 교수는 회화, 디지털 프린팅, 입체, 조형물 등 다양한 미디엄을 통해 자연물의 좌우 대칭적 구조 및 비구상적 공간의 해석을 기호화 하여 생명의 의미를 전달하는 작가입니다. 작가의 회화 작품 속 기호화된 오브제들이 잔잔한 호수 위를 부유하며 수면에 그 잔상을 드리우고, 호수에 설치된 거울은 오브제를 반사하는 투영체이자 오브제가 생성되는 포털(portal)의 역할을 합니다. 생성과 소멸을 반복하는 생명 기호들의 풍요로운 비행을 통해 이루어진 가상의 공간을 체험하며 바쁜 일상 속 고요한 명상의 시간을 갖길 소망합니다.
