과학의 시작을 새로운 시선으로 바라보는 미디어아트 프로젝트, THE ORIGIN의 ISAAC이 새로운 모습으로 DDP 쇼룸을 찾았습니다.
거대한 화면 너머 아이작이 그네를 탄 우리에게 던지는 물건들은 손에 닿을 듯 가까워지지만 이내 다시 심연 아래로 사라집니다.
오래된 물건들이 수면 위로 떠오르고 사라짐을 반복하는 영상을 그네를 타고 관람하는 ISAAC은
힘과 위치의 관계를 정리한 뉴턴의 고전 역학을 추억의 형성 과정과 연계한 작품으로
위치와 속도에 따라 달라지는 운동 에너지처럼 추억 역시 보이지 않는 힘에 의해 그 의미가 변화함을 표현합니다.
이 작품은 미디어아트 프로젝트 THE ORIGIN의 첫 번째 챕터로, 힘과 위치에 대한 질문에서 출발합니다.

features a video of old objects repeatedly rising to the surface and disappearing.
The work connects Newton's classical mechanics, which describes the relationship between force and position,
with the formation process of memories.
Just as kinetic energy changes depending on position and speed, memories also undergo shifts in meaning by invisible forces.

'각자의 질문에 답을 찾으려 했던 세 아이의 놀이터'라는 테마 아래, 과학과 예술의 경계를 허물고 호기심과 놀이로 가득한 세계를 펼쳐 보입니다.
