This media artwork was made using motion capture data from Lia Kim and Root, representatives of Korea's largest performance group, 1MILLION, which was featured in the permanent exhibition of the DDP Seoul Light 2021. A massive human figure, supported by a magnificent percussion ensemble, switches materials and dances to a range of songs, including 70s funk and city pop, to offer a message of support to the people of Seoul as they end and begin another year.
국내 최대 퍼포먼스 그룹 1MILLION의 대표 아티스트 리아킴과 루트의 모션캡처 데이터를 기반으로 제작한 미디어작품으로 2021 DDP 서울라이트의 상설 전시에서 선보였습니다. 웅장한 퍼커션 합주를 통해 등장한 거대한 인간의 형상이 70년대 펑크, 시티팝 등 다양한 음악과 함께 재질을 바꿔가며 유쾌한 춤사위를 이어가면서, 한 해를 마무리하고 시작하는 서울시민들에게 응원의 메시지를 보냅니다.
